Some cute outfits for summer...

I just added a few new designs to my etsy shop....take a peek.
Even though I've been living in the new house since January, these are actually the first photos I've taken there! (Usually I just take pictures at the studio). That thing I'm standing next to is a vintage washing machine, previously owned by my boyfriend's mother. Apparently it still works, but I'm a little scared to plug it in.

I'm really in love with this kind of over-exposed style of photography. My photographer friend taught me that trick! You know how if you're standing in front of a window and you try to take a photo, you will just look like a black silhouette? Well, if you up the exposure on your camera, the light from the window will look really white, and you'll be able to make out the details of the subject in front of the window. So easy and you get such great, dreamy results!

Jen Storey

My friend Jen just opened up her etsy shop recently, and I wanted to share her work with you guys! She does mostly woodcut printing, painting, and digital collage work.

Here are just some of my favorite digital collages that she's done. This particular series touches on the subject of environmental destruction and deforestation...

Here's how they look hanging in her dining room!

Some fun facts about Jen Storey-

She's my upstairs neighbor and co-owns the house with me, Freddy, and James! She's got two 16 year old cats! She cooks delicious vegetarian food and is always feeding everyone who comes over. She is one of the most generous people I know. She really, really, really likes cherries!

Here's me and Jen in Mexico....with a sea cat named Pancetta!

New tops and dresses...

Here are a few new things I just put up on etsy. Take a peek!

My parents were in town for a few days last week. It was their first time seeing our house! It was also their first time meeting Freddy's parents :-D I don't know why, but I was really nervous about it. Come to think of it, it was actually the first time my parents had ever met any boyfriend's parents, so maybe that's why I was nervous. Everything went well, as it should have, especially since both sets of parents are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. So, we enjoyed some wine and cheese in their beautiful backyard.

Right now, I'm working on some stock for Puces Pop in Montreal this weekend, and another wholesale order for Jupon Pressé. I just mailed some new tops to Nathalie-Roze in Toronto last week.

Alright, well....back to sewing!
