Another way to recycle scraps...

Sometimes when I resell vintage dresses, I shorten them to make them a bit more flattering. I frequently end up with bits of material that already has a nice hem at the bottom. (Lazy sewer's dream!) I came up with this little ruffled caplet as a way to use that material:

Make your own or buy it in my Etsy shop!

  1. I might borrow that idea from you! But only for myself, of course!

  2. p.s. About the bandage dress at the bottom of the page...will you be making more in that style? My friend Kim was flipping out over it and it was already sold.

  3. Keiko!

Ohh yeah feel free!!! Ooo it'll look sweet with all your vintage dresses!

Re: bandage dress...damn I don't have any more of that stiff white material...but if I ever come across anything like that again I'll be sure to make another one!

    Have a good day!

  4. How utterly adorable! I'm going to have to try.

I love your shop and your blog too, by the way. :-)

  5. Hi Amanda Lee,

    Thanks so much! :-)

  6. That is such a great idea! I think I'm going to try it soon.
I discovered your blog and I think it's fantastic!
I follow it now, and would be happy if you could follow mine, too!

  7. Thank for the ideea! It looks great!
